HONG KONG

Baseball was introduced to Hong Kong before the World War II by the American expatriates. The Hong Kong Little League was founded in 1972 for children baseball games.
The Hong Kong Baseball Association was founded as a non-profit distributing, limited by guarantee, organization in March 1993 to promote baseball development in Hong Kong.

 

Rise of Baseball in Hong Kong:
Since the founding of the Hong Kong Baseball Association in 1993, number of
Hong Kong people playing baseball has been increasing substantially.

  • Organizing open leagues for children, men and women.
  • Organizing school leagues for primary and secondary Schools.
  • Organizing college league for universities.
  • Hosting international tournaments.

The Hong Kong Baseball Association Limited was founded under the Hong Kong Companies Ordinance as a non-profit distributing limited by guarantee organization in March 1993 to promote baseball development in Hong Kong.

Objectives:

  • To promote baseball to people in Hong Kong
  • To provide training to baseball players
  • To train and provide qualified coaches and umpires
  • To raise Hong Kong's baseball
  • standard to international level
  • To win the international games.
