Due to coronavirus precautionary measures, KBO teams are limited to playing intra-squad games in their home ballparks.
Amid the coronavirus global outbreak, the Lotte Giants of the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) league, are playing and live-streaming intra-squad practice games with the players wearing surgical masks.
The Hanwha Eagles posted a video showing their players arriving to the stadium with masks, showing the world KBO clubs are taking the coronavirus very seriously.
The KBO videos are generating hundreds of thousands of views.
KBO has postponed the start of their regular season and is hoping to begin on 21 April, at the very earliest. Currently, KBO teams are limited to intra-squad games in their home ballparks.
As a further precautionary measure, foreign players are being required to self-isolate and quarantine for two weeks before joining their respective clubs from abroad, as per Yonhap News Agency.
KBO, which is the top professional sports league in the Republic of Korea, is an Associate Member of the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC).
