In addition to the new Executive Committee, the Pakistan Federation Baseball also confirmed its participation in the U-12 and U-18 Asian Baseball Championships 2020.
Syed Fakhar Ali Shah was re-elected as President of the Pakistan Federation Baseball (PFB) and Shaukat Javed was confirmed as chairman as the PFB Executive Committee was elected for a four year term during the PFB General Council meeting held on Sunday at the Bahria Cricket Stadium in Lahore.
The Council voted unanimously and also elected Muhammad Mohsin Khan (Senior Vice President), Haider Khan Lehri, Muhammad Hamood Lakhvi, Iftikhar Ahmed Asim, Dr Noman-ul-Haq (Vice Presidents), Sheikh Mazhar Ahmed (Secretary-General), Tahir Mahmood (Treasurer), Mussadiq Hanif, Muhammad Jamil Kamran, Tariq Nadeem (Male Members At Large), Sadia Alvi, Aisha Irum, Hummaira Mughal and Ann Fatima (Female Members at Large).
The new Executive approved the Sindh Baseball Association as the hosts of the 16th Women's Baseball National Championship, to be held in April, while the Multan Baseball Association is a candidate to host the Men's Baseball National Championship. A decision will be made by the Executive during the next meeting.
The Executive also approved the participation of the Pakistan National Teams in the U-12 and U-18 Asian Baseball Championships 2020.
The day had begun with the commemoration of the late Syed Khawar Shah, the former President of the PFB and the founder of baseball in Pakistan.
