Leaders of Two Asian Federations Meet in Tokyo

President Tom Peng of Baseball Federation of Asia and Honorary President of Chinese Taipei Baseball Association (CTBA) met his counter-part of BFJ in Tokyo on March 29, 2014. They exchanged views on a number of subjects including Reinstatement of Baseball and Softball in 2020 Tokyo Olympics, International Tournament Calendars, Equipment, Rules and amongst of all, development of baseball in Asia among young generations.

President Peng and his colleagues of CTBA, Secretary General Richard Lin, and International Department Head Chris Day were the guests to the professional opening game between Tokyo Yomiuri Giants and Osaka Hanshin Tigers at Tokyo Dome on March 28.  They met Commissioner Kumazaki and other key officials of NPB.

The meeting with BFJ Vice President Yoshinobu Suzuki, GM Masaaki Nagino and Senior Advisor Kazuhiro Tawa was joined by Tsutomu Shida, recipient of IBAF Executive of the Year award in 1996 and President of K-Ball Association who continues to promote baseball of young generation internationally.
