Lahore, December 01: Pakistan defeated Nepal and Sri Lanka defeated Afghanistan on the second day of 11th West Asia Baseball Cup 2013 at Punjab Stadium Lahore here on Sunday.
Mr. Moazzam Khan Chairman Punjab Baseball Association was the Chief Guest on the second day of championship. Syed Khawar Shah Secretary General Pakistan Federation Baseball and Sh. Mazhar Ahmad Secretary Punjab Baseball Association welcome the Chief Guest. Wisal Muhammad Khan Vice President Pakistan Federation Baseball, Haider Khan Lehri Secretary General Softball Federation of Pakistan, Shahid Raza Office Secretary Pakistan Federation Baseball were also present.
On the first match of 11th West Asia Baseball Cup 2013 Pakistan defeat Nepal 19 – 0. For Pakistan Sumair Zawar, Asif Mushtaq score 3 runs each, Basit Murtaza, Umair Bhatti, Abu Bakar, Zubair Nawaz, Durr-e-Hussain and Ahsan Baig scored 2 runs each Zaheer Bashir contributed with 1 run.
On the second match of the tournament Sri Lanka defeat Afghanistan 14 – 0. For Sri Lanka Akalanka Ranasinhe score 4 runs, Hapuarachchi, Karunarathna, Abeysooriyascore 2 runs each and Mahathanthila, Kosala, Rathnayake, Wijesinghe contributed with 1 run each.
