“Popcorn Summer League “host by Chinese Taipei Baseball Association will play between May 24 and beginning of September 2014. Six teams each play 5 games weekly and will play around 100-120 games for 3 months, and also they hire to hire up to 1 foreign coach, 4 foreign players and 5 college players. The foreign players mainly come from MLB or Independent League.
CTAB plans to spend about $70 million to host the entire schedule. Videoland is the official broadcast and Bro marketing is the official marketing.
It’s called “Popcorn” Summer League because these talented amateur players need some stimulation to play better.
