To all BFA members,
Hope this letter finds you all well and in good health.
I am sure that you all have received the official notification from the WBSC in regards to the postponement of the WBSC congress which was originally set to be held in April. It was a difficult decision, but due to the severity of the surge in infection rates of the Omicron variant of the COVID-19 virus around the world and considering that international travel is mostly restricted, it is only prudent and responsible to postpone the congress to a later date when the pandemic is in a better position.
As you all know, the BFA Congress and election is held in conjunction with the WBSC Congress, therefore, we hereby inform you that the BFA Congress and election will also be postponed to a later date which will be informed to you once we have carefully discussed it with the WBSC.
The dates of the WBSC and BFA congress will depend on the situation of the pandemic, which we will continue to monitor, together with the WBSC we will decide the best timing to hold both congresses. The safety and health of all our member delegates have been and will always be our top priority.
