The third day of “1600 Pandas World Tour” was located at the National Theater Concert Hall. More than 235,500 visitors came to see 1,600 paper pandas and 200 Formosan black bears until it closed on March 16th.
The exhibition today, however, is a little different. The exhibition team put all of the pandas and Formosan black bears into two baseball teams, one named “team of panda” and the other named “team of brown sugar”.
The paper pandas were outfitted with sticks and wore baseball hats and the team of brown sugar made their way to the victory with energetic spirits. Moreover, the umpire was a paper polar bear. Every visitor which saw the scene exclaimed, “Woo! That’s so cute!"
Taipei mayor Hau Lung-bin went to watch the game in person in the afternoon. He was not only cheerleading, but also became a sports announcer to the friendship competition “team of panda VS team of brown sugar”. He made the LIVE interesting and exciting for everyone.
The exhibit is scheduled to open on Feb 28 and run through March 30, and admission will be free.
