Dear participant Federation of the XXX BFA Asian Championship,
Hope this note finds you well and in good health.
Due to the severity of the recent surges on infections globally caused by the hyper-contagious Omicron variant of the COVID-19 virus, making international travel highly restricted and risky, the organization of any international tournaments at this time is next to impossible and costly. BFA has recently discussed with the Chinese Taipei Baseball Association (CTBA) as the Local Organizing Committee and the Taichung city government as the host city, a collective agreement has been reached to postpone the BFA XXX BFA Asian Championship, the event was originally scheduled to be held last year.
The exact dates of the championship have not yet been decided, BFA will continue to monitor the situation with the pandemic and will discuss the best dates to organize the BFA Asian Championship, once the exact dates are decided, we will inform you in a timely manner.
BFA is very appreciative of CTBA as the LOC and the local authorities in Taichung, which has supported and hosted the Asian Championship since 2013, as well as all the baseball officials in Taiwan for their support, collaboration and understanding.
