India won Bronze Medal in International Baseball Championship, 2017 recently held at University Putra Malaysia UPM. The state player namely Shahnawaz Hussain Mir who was part of the Indian squad who showed excellent performance during the tournament received applaud from all quarters by winning bronze for the country.
The Indian Contingent headed by Fida Hussain Fidvi received warm welcome here at council Secretariat by Nazir Ahmad Bhat, Joint Secretary, J&K State Sports Council who congratulates all the contingent for there remarkable achievement for the country.
Meanwhile Secretary, J&K State Sports Council, Waheed Ur Rehman Para and MM Gazanfar , President JKBA felicitated the Indian contingent especially state baseball player for achieved such a feat and became role model for the others.
Pertinent to mention over here that Fida Hussain Fidvi who is also the General Secretary of J&K Baseball Association was appointed second time after his Iran tour in 2015 as Head of the Indian Delegation to Malaysia by the Amateur Baseball Federation of India ABFI.
Those who were present and congratulate the player and official which includes Member Sports Council Prof BA Shah, Chief Sports Officer Haji Abdul Qayoom, Ms Nuzhat Ara SOK, Ms Nusrat Gazala SOC and Other officials of the J&K State Sports Council were present.
