Pakistan youth baseball program one step forward

The youth baseball program made one step forward in Pakistan. The Federation organized a split-squad U-15 exhibition game: Pakistan Green vs Pakistan Red. The game was played at the Pakistan Sports Complex in Islamabad.

The game was played in preparation to the U-15 Asian Baseball Championship, to be played in China from 19 to 25 August and a Qualifier to the WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup.

Akbar Hussain Durrani, Federal Secretary Ministry of Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC), and Arif Ibrahim, Director General Pakistan Sports Board, attended the event.

The President of the Pakistan Baseball Federation Syed Fakhar Ali Shah met with Akbar Hussain Durrani and shared with him the whole National Team program, including youth and adult teams. Pakistan will also participate in the West Asia Baseball Cup in Sri Lanka, in the Women Asian Baseball Championship in China and in the Asian Baseball Championship in Chinese Taipei.

Akbar Hussain Durrani said he was impressed, especially by the development of youth baseball, and assured his full support in organizing training camps to prepare the National Teams.
