Hong Kong International Baseball Open (HKIBO for men whose aged 16 and above) will come back to Hong Kong on 14-17 December 2017 when 8 international teams are scheduled to play. Started in 2012, HKIBO has been sanctioned by the World Baseball Softball Confederation since 2013 for being an international event to promote baseball and enhance friendship among baseball devotees.
Hong Kong Baseball Association (HKBA) will organize the tournament in a “two pool” format, namely 4 teams each by National Teams and Club Teams. Already, 8 teams have registered their interest to participate; Australia, Philippines, China, Russia, Singapore, Nepal and 2 from Hong Kong.
