Myanmar Baseball Federation (President U Aung Naing Oo) hosts training workshop with the help of Golden Players Club of Japan (former NPB players eligible with 2,000 safe hits or 200 carrier wins or 250 saves) on March 4 and 5 at Kyaikassan baseball field in Yangon.
Pitcher Seiji Hiramatsu of ex. Yokohama Taiyo Whales (69), slugger Norihiro Komada (54) of ex Tokyo Yomiuri Giants and other former Japanese professional players including Pitcher Atsushi Okamoto of Saitama Seibu Lions will join. On February 25, they joined Tohru Iwasaki, resident head coach and coached 5 years old+ children.
Last November, pitcher Zaw Zaw Oo, the first Myanmar professional athlete and baseball player with Tokushima Indigo Socks - Shikoku Island League was invited to attend state dinner by the Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in honor of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.
