13th Edition of West Asia Baseball Cup 2017 will be played from February 25 to March 01, 2017 at Pakistan Sports Complex Islamabad. Baseball teams from INDIA, IRAN, IRAQ, NEPAL, SRI LANKA and PAKISTAN will participate in the event.
In this regard, National Training Camp of Pakistan Baseball Team is in progress at Islamabad and participating players are Umair Imdad, Sumair Zawar, Waqas Ismail, Adnan Butt, Ali, Zubair Nawaz, Syed Dur-i-Hussain, Fazal ur Rehman, Abubakar Virk, Arshad Khan, Attique, Tahir Mehmood, Abdul Rehman, Zakir Afridi, Ameen Afridi, Inayat Ullah, Tauseef, Ihsan Ullah, Faqeer Hussain, Arsalan Jamshaid, Ubaidullah, Riaz, Latif, Jawad Ali, Muhammad Zohaib, Muhammad Usama, Mohsin Jamil, Umer Farooq, Rafi, Saddam Hussain, Nauman Zulfiqar, Hamza Moazzam, Majeed, Rizwan, Wali Khan, Abdullah, Muhammad Irfan, Muhammad Usman, Tariq Nadeem, Kashif Iftikhar, Atif, Arif, Muhammad Waseem and Mushtaq Hussain. The officials are Syed Fakhar Ali Shah (Manager), Rana Tanveer (Asst. Manager), Mussadiq Hanif (Head Coach), Sarfraz Ahmed (Coach), Basit Murtaza (Coach) and Muhammad Ramzan (Camp Commandant).
In this regard, Syed Khawar Shah President Pakistan Federation Baseball (PFB) holds a detailed meeting with Dr. Akhter Nawaz Ganjera Director General (PSB) in Islamabad and. Pakistan Sports Board will provide Accommodation, Food and other facilities to all participating teams of West Asia Cup.
Mr. Riaz Hussain Pirzada Federal Minister IPC and DG PSB visit Training Camp of Pakistan Team and also meet with the players and officials.
While talking with media Mr. Riaza Pirzada appreciates the efforts of Pakistan Federation Baseball for the promotion of Baseball in the country. He said that Federation ranked 5th in Asia, 24th in the World and also regularly organizing International Baseball Tournament in the country and Govt. of Pakistan is ready to cooperate Pakistan Federation Baseball in all aspects.
He told that Pakistan Sports Board will cooperate with the Pakistan Federation Baseball to hold International Baseball League in the country and at least 10 countries players will participate in the league. PSB will support and provide all the facilities.
Syed Khawar Shah President Pakistan Federation Baseball thanks the Federal Minister for his supervision and help.
Syed Khawar Shah told that DG PSB Dr. Akhter Nawaz Ganjera is personally taking interest and daily visit the Training Camp and also taking interest for the preparation of Baseball Field for the event.
