Bangladesh finish fifth in West Asia Baseball

This is the second time Bangladesh competed in an international tournament, and with one victory out of three, they wrote their name in the international rating list

Bangladesh baseball team claimed the fifth position as they beat Nepal by 11-4 points in the 14th West Asia Cup, organized by Baseball Federation of Asia at Sri Lanka-Japan Friendship Baseball Stadium Friday.

Bangladesh and Nepal played for the fifth and sixth position in the tournament, managed by the Sri Lanka Baseball Federation. 

This is the second time Bangladesh competed in an international tournament, and with one victory out of three, they wrote their name in the international rating list.

Bangladesh Tuesday played their first group match and lost to Pakistan 17-0, and was also beaten by Iran 8-4 in their second group stage battle. 

Pakistan and Sri Lanka are the finalists of the tournament with the final slated for Saturday at the same venue.
