Japan, Chinese Taipei qualify for WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup

Shenzen, CHINA– Japan, Chinese Taipei will compete in the final of the U-15 Asia Baseball Championship. Both National Teams thus qualify for the WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup 2020.

 

Japan, Chinese Taipei will now join the two other Nations that already qualified: Germany and Italy.

 

Chinese Taipei advanced to the final with a 2-0 win after an eight-inning drama against Korea.

Meng Chi Lin and Pao Lo Huang combined a no-hitter, allowing Korea only two walks. Meng went seven innings and struck out five. Pao pitched one inning and struck out two. Catcher Tung Han Lu provided the two-RBI double that won the game.

Japan advanced with a 10-0 win against China in five innings. Japan broke the score open with a four-run third at-bat

 

Korea won bronze medal by defeating China.
