In spite of the hard efforts by Pakistan Baseball Federation and Baseball Federation of Asia, the entry visa was not issued to Team India in time for their participation in the tournament.
Accordingly, the game schedule had to be revised to 4 preliminaries, 2 semi-finals and the final game, to accommodate 5 teams instead of the originally planned 6.
